Laura Linney's portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters has earned her the title of one of the top American actors. As a teenager, she spent her time at the house of her father and gaining an interest in the theater. While at Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. Following her graduation she started the beginning of her Broadway career. The following year, she began her career in television. Innumerable appearances in film, TV and stage shows since. During her career she received many awards, including the two Golden Globe Awards. However, despite all the awards, her passion for theatre remains in her, and she continues to perform both in the stage and on screen.
