Jennifer Garner was originally born in Houston Texas on April 17th, 1972. Her family was however raised at Charleston West Virginia. Her dad, William John Garner, worked as a chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner, the mother of Patricia Ann, taught at an area college. Her father was a chemical engineer, and she aspired to become like her father. So that she could achieve her dream of becoming an actor, she moved to New York. As she appeared in Broadway plays, she also served as a server in the nearby restaurant. She was in an appearance on the television series "Felicity." The show was in this show that she first met Scott Foley, her first husband. Garner was first seen in Alias, an action thriller. Her debut part was in the acclaimed love story 13 Going on 30. She played a teenager trapped inside a 30+ year old's body. Garner chose Gary Winick for the role as director. The two continued working together on other projects up until Winick died in 2011. Garner was made an ambassador for artists to Save the Children U.S.A. The role entails the promotion of nutrition and literacy in the United States in addition to early schooling. Garner has been on this board of trustees since 2014. Garner promotes early childhood education. She is an ambassador and often meets with families who are part of the organisation's Early Steps to School Success program. The program guides families on how to help young children to learn.
